Cory Wade


In 1967, Cory Wade was working as a promo man for United Record Distributors, Inc. in Chicago, IL. He became Director of Special Projects and Events in 1970 at NATRA, the National Association of Television and Radio Announcers. In 1976 he was president of General Entertainment Corp., parent company of Trans America Productions, Inc. and Media Management Co. He started working for T.K. Productions as a producer for T-Connection (Dash), Foxy (Dash) and Peter Brown (Drive). The 1977 single “Do Ya Wanna Get Funky With Me” by Peter Brown became the first 12” single to sell a million copies. He formed Astral Management Co. with Bob Caviano in 1977 and was named Outstanding Producer at the Record World 1977 and 1978 Disco Awards.
